The Salvadoran
industrial activity in the past five years, has had a steady growth over time,
given mainly by the motivation of Salvadoran entrepreneurs access to newly
opened international markets: Taiwan, CAFTA, and Panama are few the countries
with which most recently has been established Free Trade Agreements.
The launch
of an Industrial Activity Policy from 2005 came to strengthen the areas
considered as keys to improving the competitiveness of the sector. The result
has obtained an average annual growth rate of 2.8%.
